Background:
Customer is the automotive components supplier tier 1 for FAW, also they provide their protofilios to other world-class Automotive manufacturers.
Current status analysis:
1. poor manufacture capability in critical operations, FTQ is 88%, lots of rejects resulted in high quality cost and low delivery rate. Lots of improvement projects were organized and analyzed in customer internal management team, but slight progress they got.
2. Some of rejects were flown into their customers’ site result in customer complain, also rejects result in high quality cost.
3. Customer worried about they would be replaced by another superior supplier.
Solutions:
After make the investigation, our team provide the following suggestions and implemented it:
Based on customer’s internal fundamental management conducts, the 6 sigma project was successfully implemented after 6 months’ with joint effort.
Achievements: After reviewing, the FTQ has been reached to 99.95%, cost saving is above 6 million for per year, customer is satisfied with these achievements. |
